Canine First Aid Course
We offer canine first aid courses for anyone wanting to establish an understanding in the basic steps of first aid and CPR for dogs.
Topics covered are:
- The first aid kit
- CPR and you get to have a go at CPR on our resuscitation model
- Dealing with bleeding and bandaging
- Practice bandaging on some of Sue's dogs and understand how to handle them in a realistic situation
- Muzzles
- Health and safety
- Shock management
- Recovery position
- Finding a pulse
- Shock
- Signs of stress
- Temperature
- Pulse
- Respiration
- Choking
- Stings
- Poisoning
- Burns

The course runs on a one to one basis for 2 hours
