The City and Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Pet Sitting is ideal if you want to begin working in the animal care industry and want to learn the skills required for being a competent Pet Sitter, or for people already working within the industry to gain a Certificate of Technical Competence. The course runs at Sue Oliver Dog Grooming Studio in Derbyshire and is designed for candidates aged 16+
Pet Sitting can involve looking after a wide range of animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, exoticss, chickens, sheep and goats amongst many more.
In order to take this qualification, the candidate will need to hold a Level 2 qualification in animal related area.
Mandatory content covers:
Roles and responsibilities of a pet sitter
Devise client information sheets
Behavioural assessment and signs of health and ill health in an animal
Potential problems or emergencies whilst pet sitting
